Materials

• White T-shirt
• yard stick
• Waterproof paper or cardboard
• Fabric Markers (I used the brand Tulip)
• Cup of water
• Paint brush

Step 1

Draw Divine Mercy rays on a sheet paper as a sample pattern.

Step 2

Lay T-shirt on a flat hard surface with the side of fabric you plan to paint facing you. Insert a waterproof paper or cardboard inside the T-shirt between the layers of fabric to prevent Fabric Markers from bleeding through to the other side as you paint.

Step 3

Place your hand drawn Divine Mercy ray paper beneath the fabric surface

Step 4

Using your fabric markers and yardstick, trace two to three ray lines at a time from your Divine Mercy pattern.

Step 5

After you drawn a couple rays, slightly wet your paintbrush with water and slowly paint over the fabric marker lines to create a watercolor effect.

Step 6

Repeat Steps 4 and 5 until you have completed your Divine Mercy ray pattern

Step 7

Make it unique by adding words on the Tshirt like “Trust”, “Love and Mercy”, “Jesus, I Trust in You”, “It’s 3 o’clock somewhere” or any other phase or prayer you’d like.
